You can use any line that will have a good seal and fit. I like using the black small echo line for the fuel line then a Poly ( yellow-blue) line for return just so one can see the purge is pulling fuel.
Crank issue is that it uses a bushing instead of a bearing for the wrist pin…. They wear out and damage the piston and cylinder. Only fix is a new crank, p/c. Very poor design on Stihls part. I’m sure what’s happening is the piston is hanging up and breaking the spring.
I have several I took off to unlimit my saws using the 272 method. Is your saw the Dolmar 7900(which I have like coils) or 7900 Makita that has a different flywheel/coil combo, like the 7910 Dolmar? Check the part number on the coil to make sure they match up.
I would say it’s the igniter. Check to see while it’s running also that there is no arcing by the igniter...
I’ve had three come in acting like that...two were bad igniters and one was arcing causing it to ground out.
Nice build!!!! What did you do for base gasket?? My thought would be to mill out one from aluminum and use two gaskets to seal it.
I like the gray covers!!!!! Clutch cover to match???
Be waiting to watch some videos!!!!!
This is pretty much what I use. Just lacking the pic of a small hammer and flat punch to put jet back in an JB Weld.
I use a very simple pin vice as I’ve used others but noted a wobble in the bit when drilling and would get a larger hole than I wanted. It’s make sure it runs straight...
Deets, I was referring to the 13,5 coil and users leaning the saw out to much and causing scored cylinders. It’s a lot harder on a 12,8 Saw.
I think thats why most every maker out there went to limited coils was for warranty claims and possible EPA. Every day that comes out now are pretty...
I agree with huskyboy on the factory's ideas on rpm limits. I think it was because of user abuse and lack of knowledge. I think the biggist thing was scored cylinders from running yo lean. The factory changed the rpm limit to a lower speed to help prevent this and warranty claims.
Running the...
I always leave the original plug line in place and just unscrew it and screw it into the new coil....less missing that way. Yu may have to slit the protective covering an inch or so.
I also super glue two small washers to the case to lift the coil ever so much for clearance for the plug wire...
Had a hard time and wrestled with letting everyone my condition. A few do but this is a private fight.
On August 28 I had surgery to remove a baseball size tumor and do an intestinal resection. I had lost half my blood and had went into AFib three times looking for the bleed. Upper and lower...
Been a busy summer with so many other things going on I haven’t been able too. I want to get out and run several saws with the 372’s at the top. Have a couple new ideas on carb mods and setup I wanna try.
