I welded up this deflector to stop exhaust from hitting the case near the dog. Drives me nuts Stihl's do this and the heat can't be a positive thing for charge density and bearing temps.
Looking for clean low hour examples either. Prefer a 3/4 wrap or arctic veraions. 3/4 arctic would be perfect t, but not sure they made such a version.
My 260 starting running really weird today. Felt very rich down low, then when it cleared it's throat it reved out to 17k!
After farting around with it and checking everything out I discovered the impulse line was completely disconnected from the crankcase. The odd thing was it idled fine!
I see quit a few guys cut the squish to raise compression. The squish angle always appears to be flat.
Why not angle it properly to squeeze mixture toward the center of the chamber as motorcycles or sleds do?
