Got a couple boxes of junked 020 AVs. Some rear and some top handle models. Looks to be about 8 various saws in the boxes.
should mostly be enough to build one haha
Think I’ve found a 262 builder locally. These parts will come in handy if so. So gonna take the ad down and hold onto the parts for now! Thanks everyone!!
have some dirty 262 parts I’d like to move,
-Case with crank and flywheel
-Coil
-Throttle linkage
-Gas cap
-Oiler
-Rear handle; was stripped before I got it. No cracks and missing one small Av spring
-muffler shield and gasket
-carb bolts with Af connector
-front handle (not pictured but...
have some husqy 257/262 parts I’d like to trade for some Makita/dolmar dcs/ps parts. Only looking to trade and not sell. If I can’t find what I’m looking for I’ll keep it for a future build.
Specifically looking for an ignition module but will take a parts saw for all the parts. Must have a...
I will probably regret doing this but I have a Makita Ea4300 I would like to sell. Runs and oils as it should. I bought it brand new and used it once for some light tree work (3-4 tanks of gas). Works excellent and such an easy saw to start (ridiculous how easy it is). It's the same saw as a...
Decided to hog the gills out while I'm tinkering with this saw.
Also got my DD driver this week from Amazon. Didn't fit right. Took some tiny machinist files and widened the radius and flats a tiny bit. Fits like a glove now. Gonna try dialing Er in this weekend. I might be able to get a video
I believe the proper name for it is an 'absorber'. I ordered one from the dealer. It was on back order and took about 2-3 weeks to get to me.
Figured this could help if you can find one online
I agree and classify the 421 as a homeowner type saw. Why buy a plastic husqy or Stihl for more
Money with worse av and harder starting?
Almost 2x the price for a 550xp here which I'm sure is a fantastic machine. One day maybe I'll have the money for something like that
Mind you the price reflects that. I spent alittle over $450cdn for mine brand new.
I seen husqys at the dealer today with plastic cases for $550 plus tax. A 543xp is over $600 here.
Plastic front handle :crybaby2:
I agree I like a metal front handle.
It's a very solid feeling saw. Nimble for sure. I can see why it's not meant for a guy that is suppose to make money with it tho. For us guys that use a saw for light firewood duties or in the woods for a light carry around...
I think with the amount of cutting I do I don't need a true 'pro' saw. As long as the chain is sharp. Wood gets eaten. I don't get paid for cutting wood so it doesn't matter if I shed a second with a better pro saw.
I go cutting in the woods with a buddy of mine. He's using a Stihl ms170 and I...
