    What's on your bench?

MS361. Cylinder scored at one side of exhaust port. Appears to be from a piece of unknown that got in the way of the piston. Does not look like lean run over overheat failure. This saw did fail 30 running hours ago from getting straight gassed. Might just be a failed after market cylinder...

Whats on the Grill or Smoker?

They dehydrate very well. Use a typical dehydrator or an oven. Then put them in a canning jar. Rehydrate with water when you are ready, cook em like you would when fresh, and enjoy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    What's on your bench?

Thank you for the info. It seems the elasticity is more for the red than the grey. This is a small crankcase so I can’t imagine there’s much flex. Nonetheless, if anyone knows Grey is a sure train wreck LMK. TQ. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    What's on your bench?

029 super. I used Dirko HT grey. Ordered Red but when I opened the box at assembly time it was grey. I hope it works over time. Time will tell. Lmk if I should redo it asap. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Charging for labor

As long as the customer is willing to pay, I’ll have at it for $50 an hour. I’ll give a high estimate to check their willingness to support the project. I ran across a few Stihl ms180 and ms 180c saws that took more time than expected. If I gave an estimate and what I did did not resolve the...

Craftsman 16”/36cc I need a model number to look up parts. TQ.

Got a saw on the bench. Won’t stay running. I need a model to check on parts. Acts like an air leak. Model number is gone. Carb adjustments change running but I can’t get it stable. Only number I find is 530.055873. I worked in Sears parts for five years and can’t connect the dots. Any input is...

    Oiler not oiling enough?

Take the bar off and run the saw to see if it is pumping a fair amount of oil out of the saw. Clutch has to turn for oiler to work. Also, if it was real cold, the oil could be kind of thick. In that case a winter oil may help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    1/8 & 3/16 grinding wheels

I’ve used 1/8 on .325 chains and they seemed to cut fine for me. I look forward to learning more about this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
