Cheers will have to get myself a puller. What's the go with putting antiseize on bolts when I put it all back together? Worth it or not? Not keen on stripping any more torx heads in the future lol. Really appreciate the help from this forum, you guys are legends.

Girlfriend is at work work for the day so I snuck the crankcase in the oven. Came apart without a hassle The flywheel side bearing stayed on the crank when it came out, not sure how to get it off :confundio1: also I noticed the paints coming off inside the crankcase, anything wrong with just...

Yeah mate, I'll richen it up for now. How do you advance the timing? Do you need the 460 coil?

Hopefully they're as cheap over here. I'll ask my dealer when I pick up the parts I've ordered. All the rubber bits and pieces are in pretty good nick so I don't think I'll be replacing them. Finally bought a proper torx wrench, One of my best investments to date lol

Cheers guys I'll have a look around for some. Found a bit of corrosion after I have the crankcase a clean, not too major although I can see through part of the case I shouldn't be able too o_O Also does anyone have an easy way to remove flywheel? I think I should've done it while the jug was...

I went ahead and ordered all oem parts to be on the safe side, forgot to ask if they sell the white paint that goes on the crankcases though. Thinking I might do a few touch ups while it's apart

Cheers guys I might try the mallet method. That is if I can get this stupid cylinder bolt out, rounded the bugger completely. Any ideas how to get it out? I've tried tapping in a larger size torx and even a hex but it just keeps getting worse. Driving me nuts!

Is that $80 usd? Prices here in NZ aren't too friendly for chainsaw related things :(

Cheers guys I'd rather do it right first time so oem it will be! Also on the list is a new muffler as the old one is cracked from from where it meets the gasket to almost where the muffler splits in half. Any tips on splitting the cases? Is a special tool really needed? Or have you guys got some...

Yeah man was a bloody good saw while it was going, cut a lot of wood. Hence the reason for fixing it. Going to hold onto as it was my first saw too. So far I've got a new piston and rings and I've tidied up the jug. Just wondering if it's worth going oem for bearings and seals or if anyone's had...

Alright finally getting around to fixing the old girl up. The clutch side crank bearing crapped and and wiped out the seal and ended up with a lil lean situation which my p&c didn't like. It's been sitting in a box for the last few months since I got my 461 but I figure it's about time I had a...
