    SELLING MMWS 462

This one definitely has the white early sticker on it

    OK, didn't see this coming

I’ve actually never seen it compared to a smaller saw. I’ve seen the 500 run against or compared to the 660, 661, 390, 592, 585 much more than I’ve seen it running against smaller saws. People seem to think it’s magic but it’s really just another 79cc saw

    OK, didn't see this coming

Hp numbers don’t matter if the amount of work required to cut the log requires more power than the saw has at its rated peak. That’s where area under the curve becomes more important

Husqvarna 562XP - Any source for steel-caged bearings?

Probably something to do with the oil tank vent

    Stihl ms 460/660 Hybrid. 469e

The cylinder is an air pump. Keep trying to make a better pump

Could be in the pump itself, not necessarily on the fuel side. Seen a 79 cc echo hybrid smoke my 7900 and 500 with an HDA carburetor a little bit bigger than what’s on a 357.

Bury it in a log. Turn the h out til it 4 strokes. Turn it in until max rpm or it starts acting up lean. Go somewhere in the middle. Those 2511 carbs are a pos too. Sometimes they need replaced

    Stihl ms 460/660 Hybrid. 469e

Depends. Some don’t deliver any more after 1.5 - 2 turns. Many epa carbs now have a fixed jet that flows 90% of the required fuel and the other 10% happens in the next 4 turns. Redmax and Echo stuff can be like that. But if you can tune to both a rich and a lean condition, a fixed jet change...

    Yeah normal

Husqvarna 562XP - Any source for steel-caged bearings?

I believe the 372 and 395 are the only saws produced in the last 20 years without a proprietary pto side bearing. Been longer than that for Stihl. So options are few

D Dave sent Dallas one of the first meteor 661 prototype cylinders and he ran it for a bit. And then sent it up to me to see what I thought. The arrow was backwards, so if you follow that you had a ring gap in the center of the exhaust. And it was 30% slower than a stock OEM cylinder. Even...

Husqvarna 562XP - Any source for steel-caged bearings?

They are a proprietary bearing available only from Husky and only with plastic cages

    Carlton Chain

I’ve heard by from guys on here and AS that Carlton was harder than Oregon, but I haven’t had good luck with it. I’ve had a couple old loops that came on saws I bought and there was no corner left. It wasn’t like the cutters were hammered, more like the corner was just worn off all the way back...

    Husqvarna 562XP - A Tale of Woe

Put new bearings in it and run it at 32:1 and I bet your problems go away. I don’t know how many of those things I’ve ported and put 40 more pounds of compression into them and they are still running fine. After people spend money on port work they tend to run better oil and more of it to...
