What kind of numbers would be good for a 288 that may see occasional milling? Was thinking 80* 100* 120* and .025" squish. Maybe a couple degrees less all the way around would be better for durability??
New Meteor piston came in. Old one worked but had some scratches from being run without a filter before I got it 🙄. Anyway, old piston with some 60 grit glued on it cuts the squish fairly well.
The NOT MADE IN CHINA really stands out. Proline also has a Not made of Chineseium piston for about the same$. Wonder which is better?
Never hear anything great about Lil Red Barn...not bad....just nothing great either.
The Meteor for my 288 just came in today...damn nice piston kit for $35
Welcome to the OPE forum @Robpm.
My experience with small engine tachs is limited to the cheap eBay/Amazon wired $10 variety. It works fine once settings are changed for 2stroke(default was 4stroke). Been using it for a few years now. My only complaint is the time it takes to wrap the sensor...
That happened on the last Farmertec cylinder I had too....The nikoasil could be peeled off with my fingernail....didn't notice it until I started grinding on ports ..oh well. At least they're cheap.
