I have no idea. I bought it new from the dealer and asked him to set it up for 3/8. Whatever he did it took less than a minute before he came back with the saw.
Edit: I know the IPL calls for the small spline.
I wonder how much he is charging. I have been wanting a 395 for larger stuff... :)
