Been at the Baker Spain stampede the last 2 days.. It’s quite the event any more.. Google it.. chuck wagon races, bronc stomping, concerts, ranch rodeos… You’ll never see this many horses, mules, and halflingers in one location anywhere I’m aware of.. Google “goat ranch” Miller ,MO..

I’d still rather take a beating than be awesome at drywall.. Drywall can suck it…

I might be wrong about field number two

They are all in my barn… I might hold them hostage..

Update on the wheat harvest.. First field done. 58 test weight and a little over 90 bushel per acre. That was probably the best field, although #2 may be close to the same. #3 has never made 90.. so we are happy for anything over 60 on that one. Surprisingly, no sprout yet.

Just finished up the last of Levi’s square bales. He wanted to square bale it, but you think he was around to pick em up? Nope.. Lisa and I did it. I hate handling bales twice..

If you got a place to put the straw inside till fall, advertise it on marketplace in the fall.. People will buy the stuff for $5.00 a bale for all sorts of stuff. Including decoration. We put up about 3-4 thousand a year and Jean sells out every year.

Weird.. You guys are warmer than us 150 miles south of you.

6:30 am to 8:30 am are far and away the best hours for noodling and splitting in the summer.. Good morning workout.
