Just brought this one home. Maybe the cleanest 115i in Australia. Best part was that I sold my well used Husky 350 for 50 bucks more than I purchased the Dolmar for. 115i is the saw that got me into Dolmars as my dad purchased one new.

Great saws - I have a 410 and its a wonderful little saw that can do bigger stuff if needed. Very underrated.

The 143 with that little bar will rip if she is a runner. These are probably my favorite big Dolmar. 95cc longish stroke, inboard clutch and sound sweet. I prefer these to the 153 and luckily I have a couple and a pile of parts.

Mate if you are committed to the saw grab parts like ignition coils whenever they come up. The saws are very strong and generally it is ignition that lets them down like a lot of 80's saws. Its the same for the same era dolmars - there is no aftermarket supply like for Stihl or Husky so you...

CT is actually a friends that I have been fixing. He had two broken down ones and I made 1 good one and am just trying to get a few bits to complete the second one. This was the fist.

Solo 667 is a pure Solo saw, very long 38mm stroke for a 70cc saw so lots of torque but pretty heavy for its class. Dolmar/Makita equivalent would be the 6800i, which is not the same saw.

Yeah my CA is a runner - as it was running well when I got it I have left well enough alone. I am not looking at using it for anything other than the odd cut to demonstrate and its fine.

I spose I am pretty lucky in my collection I have a 444se, 162, 266se, 262xp, 181se, 350, 480cd, 372xp and a Jonsered 2071 for good measure. When push comes to shove I just take the Johnny and either the 350 or the 262. 181 is a lot of fun. Should admit I am actually a Dolmar bloke.....[/ATTACH]

I started up a facebook page called Aussie Chainsaw Enthusiasts. We have a competition running at the moment for firewood saws under $150 dollars (around 100us). You have to do a video introducing yourself and your saw and showing it cutting. Winner will be by vote by page members for the saw...

6400 is lighter, has better antivibe and revs quicker, but the 120si blows its doors off for torque and general ruggedness. Its heavier though and you struggle with parts. Its a great saw though in so many ways. I think a good 120si will go toe to tow with a 7300.

Hi guys, Just joined this site and run through the Dolmar thread. Its great. I am a Dolmar man from Australia. Currently I have a 112, 115i, 118, 120six2, 143x2, 6400 and CA. I like them all but the 120si's are my favorite. looking forward to contributing to the site.
