Some folks just don't know what's going on. Here's a pic of before and after on a chain I was asked to sharpen.
The guy admitted he tried to sharpen it and wasn't very happy with the way it cut. There are multiple things I see wrong. It looks like he used the wrong size wheel for the...
Thanks for getting my attention! This will be a great starter saw for my boys as they get older. Oldest is 4 yrs old now, so he's got a couple years before I get him started.

Well, I just got paid for the first time grinding chains for a local fella. I'm not looking to make a business out if this, just maybe help buy new wheels and fund the hobby. Below are some before and after pics.
Haha, nope! This is my first time too!
I find that living on 3-4 hrs of sleep and not starting anything until everyone goes to bed (usually after 10) keeps the peace. But after a week of going to bed at 3 in the morning, I really have to take a break.
I just read this to my wife (while laughing) then asked if it sounds familiar. ..I think she forgot I had it coming[emoji12]

I've got a couple older Mac's for sale. I acquired them a couple years ago and I haven't done anything with them.
I got the 10-10 running with very little effort. The throttle linkage had been disconnected at some point. Started right up and seems to run good. $150 + shipping.
The 110 has...
Not quite what I was expecting [emoji15]
I just got 2 square chains with a slightly used bar. My first square chains and I haven't cut with them yet. I'm looking forward to getting into some WOOD with them [emoji6]

The first couple times I cut with it, I kept watching it. It seems to do well. I haven't had issues burning up a chain yet. But I just cut firewood on occasion and this is one of 4 saws I use. So I'm not running this all the time. Take it for what it's worth (which may not be much).

I have the 50.
I'm not sure if wider is better for carrying oil. If the channel is wider, but the oil pump is still putting out the same volume, wouldn't it fill the channel less? I don't claim to know much when it comes to this interaction. I haven't spent more than this 30 seconds thinking...
I run a 28" full chisel and it pulls really well. Obviously, chain condition has a lot to do with this as well.
I've been thinking of getting the 32" with a skip chain for the same reason as you. At some point, I just might need it.

Without a tach, it is a little harder to set the H screw. I would say 1 out is safe, but with the porting, I don't know. Don't take this the wrong way, but do you know what 4 stroking is? A lot of times the H screw can be set by ear safely if you leave it 4 stroking some when it's out of the...
Those changes should definitely help the flow. Did you have to modify the muffler at all because you funneled the exhaust port?
I haven't ported anything yet, but will be playing with a Chinese 660 build later this spring. I also just have a Dremel pencil attachment and the grinding stones with...
