    Opinions on pole saws!!!

The jameson pruner poles and a hook head, put a decent saw blade on that and it will get used a lot. I have 6 poles, usually don't go past 4 unless it's just 1 cut, easier to climb it after that. My 131 doesn't get used near as often but it does have it's place, massive amounts of 10 foot or...

    TJ rebuilds an MS441 Magnum.

Way under rated saws as far as I'm concerned, got 8 years of hard use and a couple of not so hard, and still going strong

    TJ rebuilds an MS441 Magnum.

I keep a 32 on the wall for mine, gets used as needed. Oiler struggles in cottonwood and oak, but keeps it good for most everything else. Hard wood like locust or dead red elm can really take the pull out of it though.

Looking for a multi use by saw

The oiler is my biggest concern, maybe it just comes down to bar oiler holes, my old 066 just didn't seem to keep up in certain types of wood with a 36" bar, I generally buy forester bars above 24" just based on price, had good luck with them but not a real big oil hole. Going to have to try out...

    Part One: The Exhaust Port

I guess I was meaning isn't the exhaust limited by the carb size? Or does that not really matter?

    Part One: The Exhaust Port

How about exhaust size vs carb size? Can you go to big to be effective?

Looking for a multi use by saw

The 661 is the reason I went with the 441. I tested both and the 441 came out even with a 20 inch bar, I like the old 066 but I've never ran one with anything over 3', the oiler on my old one had trouble keeping up in cottonwood with that bar. Just watched a couple videos of redbulls 661...

Looking for a multi use by saw

I have most bases covered for tree work saws from 14 inch bars on 200 t's up to a 32 for my 441 ,for occasional use, with many other options in between. But I've been turning down a lot of work lately that I just don't have the saw power or bar size for, I'm looking for a saw that will wear a...

    Random Thought Of The Day

Maybe I shouldn't have turned down that tree I looked at today, I always wanted a reason to have a 4 foot bar and a saw to pull it.

Somedays you should not be permitted to touch a saw

Got an old beat up ms390 that I've borrowed out a couple times but that's the only one. Mine are mostly for heat and a paycheck, don't really feel like giving away either.

Somedays you should not be permitted to touch a saw

Not my saw, just my bar and chain. Might be a few usable pieces off his 046 though.
