    462 Maxflow.

I like it. I’ve got about 2 days of logging heavy with it. Is it eye opening awesome? Not really. BUT the saw does have some noticeable power increase, especially in the cut, when dogging in. I’m certainly a fan so far.

I get what you’re saying. But I also get that it wasn’t as easy to make this kit for the 462 as it was for the legacy saws. This new kit also has added a “stack” to mount the filter to the carb, and also a completely different shaped cage and filter, to fit the 462’s slim profile, plus the...

I remember when gasoline was $1.14/gallon… Everything costs more these days. Your point is moot 🤣

It honestly doesn’t bother me any. Plus being able to use the filter cover nut ensures the filter assembly is tight and leak free.

    462 Maxflow.

Several weeks. I clean my MaxFlow’s about twice a season, no joke. Every couple days I just pull the cover, brush off the caked on sawdust with a toothbrush, replace the cover and go. I do pull the filter and check the carb throat for fines once in a while, but I have never experienced any...

    462 Maxflow.

The MaxFlow increases the filter surface area, which is a huge benefit. Longer run times between cleanings, and also more available air at any given time. Plus MaxFlow has a proven track record of not allowing fines to pass through.

Anytime! And I agree - you’ll likely just have a little missing towards the bottom. No biggie! If you look close enough at my original post with pictures, you’ll notice my cover is missing the bottom corner as well… trees are hard.

Here ya go: Observation: I just took this now, and as you can see, this is a non-Mtron cover on my Mtron saw. Local dealership ordered the wrong one after broke the original. Aside from the carb adjustment holes, all else is the same.

Thanks Nic, but I’ll be starting a new logging site later this week 🤞🏻

    462 Maxflow.

I am running one. I received one about a month ago, but due to poor weather and a halt to logging, I have very limited time with it. I will say this though: after installing it on my 462c - just the throttle response alone has increased a very noticeable amount. The increased area of...

What oil is best? and what ratio?

I may have a biased opinion of it, but yes I run Dominator 32:1 in all my 2T engines. I am also a logger. My saws see heavy and prolonged use.

    33RSK

I was able to take some pictures of the differences between RS/RM (Previously RSC or RMC) with the “Comfort” anti/vibe feature that is now standard, and RSK which is a legacy chain with nothing fancy. Pictured first is RM and you can clearly see the area under the rear rivet where it will...

    33RSK

I don’t think it’s going anywhere - I just ordered a roll from the dealer about a month and a half ago. It is regional though - Madsens cannot get it, it’s not offered out west. But it’s readily available here in the upper midwest.

    33RSK

Regular RS and RSK have different top plate angles (from cutting edge to butt of the cutter) and also different raker profiles. Lastly, standard RS has a “relief” under the rear rivet that allows it to rock back slightly (formerly known as Comfort chain feature) to reduce felt vibrations while...
