    got a couple of freebies, sold 288 in 1992.288xp in 2000. the 288 needed crankshaft bearings,seals & piston ring,rim sprocket,pump diaphragm,fuel filter,top cover,front handle,chain brake. no de-comp. fun to start. the 288XP got total paint & rebuild.new piston,carb, crankshaft...

    howdy guy's i've been have'in a hell of a time setting up my used grinder i bought. does this pic show anything that would make it impossible or very hard to get the same results on both sides of the chain? i'm wonderin' if the arm is the culprit.

    oilers on the 285's were very good.the only way to adjust it,is to remove it and switch the screws. if it still is in the way it left the factory. it will increase the flow . the screws in red circle are NLA,but you might find them in dealers old stock.
