    Logosol M8 Problem

Chains are as even as I can get em using my electric grinder. I sure don't use a micrometer. Haven't done any milling, since the p"roblem" happened. I did have a look at the carriage the saw bolts to today, and I think it's bent. Stay tuned.

    Logosol M8 Problem

Tried that. Flip the bar every time I change a chain. I have 10 chains I cycle through on a milling day. I have a new bar at home, I'll try that next time out.

    Logosol M8 Problem

Ran into an issue milling cedar power poles this weekend. While milling, the saw was climbing in the cut and jamming the bar about 4' in. Checked everything I could think of, made adjustments but nothing worked. Curious thing though, if I started at the other end and milled backwards pushing the...

    Fair asking price

I am thinking about selling my Logosol M8 with a 3120Xp and was hoping some of you guys might chime in on what a fair asking price might be. The saw and mill are about 4 years old. I've got 2 24" bars, 10 404 chains ground at 0*, 2 25' rolls of new 404 chain, the stock muffler (the one on the...

    metal roofers

The only reason I can think of for screwing through the rib, would be where the panels overlap and you want to stitch the panel together. The screws typically used for this are called stitching screws, are quite a bit smaller in length and diameter and usually have a self tapping drill point on...

    Chainsaw Mills

Thanks for the ideas, I'm sure that is the case with many milling problems. I'm running a 3120 that has way more power than I need for the softwoods I have in my area. I grind my chain (404, .058) at 0*, and lower the rakers quite a lot that way I don't have to adjust the grinder for each side...

    Chainsaw Mills

I started in on a pile of cedar power poles a buddy found for me. I didn't get to far when I noticed it getting tough to move the saw along the rail. Thought maybe the chain was getting dull. Turns out the whole frame was out of square and was causing about a 1/8" of run out on each of the 5...

    Farmi skidding winch

I have a Wallenstein FX85. Really like having it. I don't think you would go wrong with any of the available skidding winches.

Which wood would make the best mantle?

"I plan to run 25:1 oil/fuel ratio." Don't run 25:1 unless the manual tells you to. I've been running my 3120 exclusively on a Logosol M8 for a few years and have never used anything but premium fuel at 50:1. You need fuel to cool, and running that extra oil will likely cause overheating. I...
