So what do you do when?

It was a great time cutting. I got to see just how slow an 090 and an 084 are in a relatively small log. There's more logs and cutting to come! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Different Caber rings?

That black coloring looks similar to what you'd see after heat treating steel to me. Weird that they have the same part number though. Did you try to clean the black coloring off to see if the Caber marking is there? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Log arch thread

You could also put some ramps for working on a car or truck on either side of your mill or build your own to get you to the right height if you don't need much more. Just a thought. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

SOLD SOLD Pair of 090 AV's

I would love to have these saws, but I already have a few regular 090s. I haven't ran an 090AV yet, but I plan to have one some day. GLWS! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Cut down a big red oak

That's a tough break, it sucks the trunk was too far gone! I was down in town where I live a while back and I noticed a big oak that was at the edge of a parking lot wasn't there anymore. I drove over and looked and they cut the tree and just let it fall right into the woods. This tree is...

    Milling power head?

That sucks they strung you along. I ordered a set of rails for a granberg from them and it took a couple months to get them too. I would definitely watch your oiler while you're milling with a bar that long. My 660 isn't the best at oiling even with it turned the whole way up. I run a 36" and...

    Todays snag

Snagged this baby for 10 bucks. Came with 8 chains too. Guy got it pinched in a back cut and the tree rolled onto the saw after it fell out of the cut. Broken handle and clutch cover so far, but I'll have to tear into it later. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Haddon milling attachment

You're welcome, sir. Milling is addicting. I started a little while back and now I have a basement full of stacked lumber drying! Keep up the good work, and keep the pictures coming! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Haddon milling attachment

Looks pretty good! Nice work. I've never used one of those attachments before. Your cuts don't look too bad, and the chains I use for milling is square ground. It's pretty impressive how much power you need from the saw to mill. Like you said they will self feed pretty well, but they are...

Which wood would make the best mantle?

Welcome to the milling world! I think all three of your options available would be a great choice. Is the stuff you have dry? If not it's going to be a while before it's dried, so you may want to consider that. Sounds like you have the right tools for what you are lookin to do. I have milled a...

    No longer a milling virgin.

Pretty stuff, and any ideas what you want to make with it? They are beasts for sure. You need to get that baby on the mill!
