Here is the link to the sale ad if anyone is interested. Price includes tracked international shipping. I will double box and use plenty of packing material. I have shipped several saws to the states and Europe over the years with no issues...
After a 10 hour round trip I arrived home with this NOS Stihl 084 that had been stashed under a bed for the last who knows how many years. There is some paint missing from in front of the oil cap and the bottom edge of the clutch cover as well as a few scratches on the front handle. More...
Flat top 066 cutting some bigger rounds of birch with a so so chain. Came to me blown up so I salvaged the cylinder and put a meteor in it, dual port muffler.
Half clapped out 036 i overpaid for. Under .020 squish, big timing advance and a muffler mod. Runs a hell of a lot better than it did but still not great. Seems to go fat when it gets hot sometimes.🤔
Well, unwound the spring on the 20a but it was too little tension and would not close the throttle plate when let off slowly. Contacted the seller and their technician said to just grind on it to relieve the spring. Seems a bit rediculous that you would need to grind on a new OEM carburetor to...
Just installed the HE-22a on my 361, same deal although I can get the throttle plate to open all the way as the linkage is shorter and straighter. Pulling the trigger however is absurdly difficult compared to all of my other saws.
Picked up two new tillys for my 036 and 361. Mounted the HE-20 on the 036 and there is wayyyy too much tension on the throttle plate mechanism. The throttle linkage is bending and the throttle plate opens less than half way when the trigger is fully engaged. Anyone else have this issue?
KS cylinders usually run a bit better, higher compression and larger ports like you said. I have a KS on my 064 and it runs very well. I ran it for a while with a sub .020 squish and it was noticeably stronger but extremely hard to start.
