I have a hardy h2 and love it. For my house and situation a OWB is the only way I would choose to heat with wood. If I had a smaller different design house I would consider a stove. I love the mess staying outside along with any danger associated with fire. I bought this particular unit new...
There a pit viper just like a rattlesnake. Their venom is a little less potent, but plenty bad enough to ruin your day.

I bought a 661 back in the summer and have loved it so far. It's the only M-Tronic saw that I personally own. It starts easy and will pull a 36" bar exceptionally well for a bone stock saw. I've had no problems oiling or bogging in the cut. The saw seems to have a bit more torque and speed than...
This is what I got right now. 6.5 plus cords best I can measure. I don't have a real system, I just stack it where ever I find room near the heater.

I agree that Hank is much better on the radio than the stage but the worst for me is a tie between Willie or Bob Dylan. Granted it was later in their lives when I went to see them. They are both still national treasures in my book!

I saw the hag one year in Memphis at the Harper Morgan rodeo in the Mid south colosseum. I was a young kid at the time but am now glad I got to see him. I have also seen Coe, very unimpressed with his live act. Missed seeing Waylon but have seen shooter a few times.

Update, I cut wood this Thursday with a 25" bar on my 661. This will be my go to bar length when using this saw for firewood in the future. Balances much better and is easier on the back.

Do you like the mtronic saws better in general? The only mtron I own is a 661. I like it a lot but time will tell if I like it better than my carbed saws.

Thanks, I was looking in a specific dealers page. I wonder if any dealer can get any of the saws listed on STIHLs home page. I noticed that they are making a non mtronic 201t as well. Has anyone had experience with these?

I have an older carby 261. Are you guys saying that you can still buy new 261's that are non m-tronic? If so where? My dealer Doesn't have any and I don't see them on STIHLs web site.

I don't run storage either and I have no complaints, granted I live in a much milder climate than a lot of folks on here. My boiler is a pre EPA non-gasser. It does a great job so long as you keep it fed. Not for the faint of heart!

I have the small splitting axe and love it. Very good quality. That picture you posted could have passed for my finger the first day I used mine.

I have a Hardy H2, burns 365 days a year heating DHW. Has a water to air heat exchanger for the winter. I have always been happy with Hardy's.
