I have a 700 Remmy in 223. Nothing wrong with 55 grain bullets in it for 99% of what a 223 was meant to do. My favorite load to erradicate varmints is a 52 grain hollowpoint. Many have met their demise by it and nothing has ever crawled away.
I do not consider the 223 a big game round although...
The 270 is about as perfect a mule deer cartridge for western hunting as you will find. Plus you can neck down your 06 brass to load for it. And it will handle elk and moose easily with a good bullet.
While the 300 WM is a heck of a round, it is simply not needed for Muley’s. Plus in the light...
I am also a southpaw, have 3 of the stainless Tikka's. Buy with confidence! They are a superb gun for the dollar! Very accurate and slick. Do not seehow you can get a better gun for the buck.
The day stayed interesting too.
30 minutes later I picked up a brand new, still in the factory sealed box Husqvarna 360 BT blower for $265.
Think I will make that show every year!
Oh I knew it was a very good buy, just messing with you all. I would have paid the $400, the seller's original asking price too. No sense leaving money on the table though. Not that I need another 60 cc saw, but you all know how it is...
I was at a farm type flea market tractor show yesterday and spotted this at a vendor. Other than a few small handling marks this thing is brand new. He had gas in it and it popped on the scond pull and started on the third.
He wanted $400 for it but I talked him down to $350. This is a brand...
I have had a BMW GS 650 for longer than I care to remember. It is geared a bit too high for dedicated trail riding but that could be fixed with a bigger rear sprocket. Stock tires are not very aggressive either, again an easy fix. I mostly use it for fire roads and game land roads. It is quite...
I have no problem tearing it down and putting a piston in it. I never had to clean the aluminum transfer but believe I could handle that too. Just did not want to get involved right now, plenty on my plate. I have never attempted porting.
That said it did cross my mind to send it out for a...
Since I bought it that way I do not know. Bad mix? Echo's are known to be tuned very lean from the factory, maybe that was it.
Original plan was a muffer mod then retune and keep it around as a spare saw.
Good day. I bought this 590 without doing my homework. It was priced very well and I just could not resist. It is almost new. Long story short, it did not run right when I looked at it but I figured it just needed a tune. Well a few days later I pulled the muffler to do a mod and she needs a...
I am not one that always embraces change, so I sat on the sidelines for quite a while with technology like Motronic and Autotune. But about 3 years ago I found a very good deal on a 261 Motronic and decided to try one.
It has thus far been a stellar performer. I liked it so much that when...
Brian I owned the Erie Insurance Agency. Thanks for the well wishes! Mainly a hobby at this point. I want to mill my own wood to build some stuff on the property.
Hey Brian! I was born in Berwick and spent a lot of my life there. Owned a business there for the last 22 years before I retired. I still get down that way on occassions.
I recently bought a TimberKing sawmill and of course have been reading lots about them. Seems I have seen your name pop up...
