I’ve used it and Granberg chain. It takes a lot less power to pull which is probably part of the reason it’s setup like it is. It cuts nice, I think as good as Granberg in most logs. Holds an edge well, better than Granberg based on my experience. I also think it stays on the bar better...

You could also do large mount with an adapter to the midsize but changing the nose isn’t a big deal either. I recently got a Tsumura large mount .404 for my 084 off eBay for a fair price.

Is your splitter just a standard store bought style with a rectangular tank? I’d almost want a couple smaller magnetic heaters then one larger that way you could cover more area of the tank. Also some sort of cover like a welding blanket to keep some of the heat in would help too. All that...

Helping a friend get a beloved saw running. After putting a kit in the carb and tuning it I found the little nubs that hold the choke lever in the carb had broke off. I don’t see any available at my usual sources. Anybody got one they’d part with? Here are a couple pics to help narrow it...

Did you get some bad gas? Does the carb have a drain plug on the bowl? See if you get some water out. Also, some of those engines have a sensor that kills them when the crankcase is overfilled, mainly to keep it from running when fuel is left on for a long time and it leaks into the motor...
