Changed the pit doors from flat ones to round, was not easy to do. Put a flat plate grill on the firebox.

Rebuilt the firebox door from opening sideways to up and down. Then built a roof over it all out of oilfield pipe, drill stem rod and 4” perlin.

Made these spring loaded latches. The springs were to hard to compress so I came up with the cam design to make it easier to unlatch the gate ramp, never seen this done before but sure someone has done it. Works very well.
