I need to order a few carb kits. Specifically for ms 290 and 440/460 saws. I'm pretty sure I've used the straight HD kits in the past but now see some sellers listing the K-10HD kits for these saws.
So what are the differences in these 3 kits?
That should be all. The airfilter cover needs to be the newer style with the hump. The summer/ winter piece is the prefilter that slides in by the airfilter. Thank you.
Edited to be correct.
On the far left of the pic, you can just see a 6. It's the last digit of 1106. If it was a contra gear drive it would be 1109. Supers would carry a "s" designation.
I'm not interested unless it's cheaper than cheap lol. Good luck.
If you're going to drive fords, it's a good idea to invest in a good ball joint press. Thinking of getting a fuel m18 high torque impact but for now a breaker bar works just fine.
On the install I do wire brush the loctite off that is applied already on the insert and use the traditional red loctite. The loctite that comes on them may be fine but I didn't trust it.
I got them from fastenal. I've used a few packs of the m5 over the years. Quite a few on recoil bolts. Send me your address and I'll get a couple heading your way.
I have ez lock solid inserts in 5 and 6 mm if you would like one sent. I know the 5mm need a 8mm hole to install. The 6mm would obviously take a larger hole. No special tools needed just a tap and red Loctite. Basically a readily available version of the idea suggested of making an insert on...
Guy told me I had dibs and sold it out from under me. No hard feeling towards the buyer. Hoping it was ole Tom. The seller on the other hand is a d- bag.

We use a senco joist pro at work. Same thing. Absolutely love it. Saves hours of hand driving or palm nailing hanger nails. Only down side is you reload often.
