some (EU?) models do have an catalysator inside which causes a lot of counter pressure AND heat,
and all models have a diffusor inside
looks like that. Some have a few big holes like ths one
some have a few smaller holes
you have ported the dual ports as well?
There is a guy on Youtube at UK which is porting these chinese saws very high and he swears on the dual ports but I am not sure he ever tested out the quad ports. But I think what he saying is right: the transfers of the quad are significant smaller then...
I've done this befor several times without problems. Some scratches but nothing broken. But at this saw the crank case is made of very thin material and now there is a very little crack inside the case where I put the screw driver outside...
But I learned my lesson, some special tools you really...
muffler for a Komatsu Zenoah clone saw
- cut in into two parts to empty it inside
- two 16mm outlet ports
but I need more exercises on welding thin metal, normally I do 10mm or so on my tractor
meanwhile I did some modifications on a cheap chinese 52cc saw I bought on eBay before christmas
works done so far:
1. changed the orig. dual port cylinder to the better quad port version (higher agility, higher rpm at stock possible, higher torque)
2. Muffler mod (drilled the internal...
the video is down, does anyone has a copy of it or an alternative video link?
I am searching for a step-by-step tutorial (not necessarily a video tut) to assemble my Farmertec G660 kit.
thanks very much and regards
Stefan
the photovoltaics is done
and now I had some time to cut a little tree for testing
first I've done three cuts @ stock and took the time
1. power optimisation: back at the work bench for change / build in a new cylinder head with quadport instead of the original dualport
left...
sorry but no. I squeezed in a new construction site before winter is there and working on the roof is not possible anymore, a 12 KVA photovoltaic system. After that I will continue the chainsaw project
OK I will try.
Yesterday I repaired another 58cc for a friend and this saw spins up much more faster than mine, maybe this is a quad port cylinder?
Next week I will do some test cuts with my saw @ stock and then begin to modify. I ordered a quad port cylinder two weeks ago (~ 16USD @ aliexpress)...
it is not that easy, there are several versions out
52cc
- 45mm piston / 1 port per side
- 45mm piston / dual ports per side
58cc
- 45mm / 1 port
- 45,2mm / 1 port
- 45,2mm / dual ports
- 46mm / dual ports
62cc
- 47mm / dual
- 47,5mm
- 48mm
List is not complete, just what I found out...
found at my mother's garden shed with "something is defective, don't know, just take it"
an Einhell RBK 4645 with 45cc and 2,7hp
disassebled it (my first saw I disassembled), get infected by the chainsaw virus...
...repaired it and now it's my favourite saw for delimbing and small cuts
Today I tried to start the saw and had some problems.
No starting ,no "cough" - nothing.
Spark plug is new and fine, also the ignition coil because I see some sparks,
compression feels good. Maybe the carburetor. I change it to a brand new but still no starting.
Maybe there is a little damage...
yes I measured the cylinder and it's a 58cc.
When the saw is running I think I will try
- muffler mod (still waiting for the 3-port muffler)
- carb mod (described at the beginning of the thread)
- some porting, but first I have to read a lot more stuff to do this
today I had some time to rebuild the chinese chainsaw
new gas tube and impulse tube. If it's a Timberpro / Timbertech: these tubes are some weak spots
complete set of gaskets: 1,60USD including shipping
a closer look at the insert: time to change
new oilpump and needle bearing...
I decided to give this "naked" body a chance
besides tons of dirt I can't find any damages at the saw
let's check the piston if that's a 52cc or a 58cc
width of the piston is 45,35 (my measuring is not very exact) -> that means 45,2mm
checking the stroke
this should be 34,0mm...
