Stihl MS194T

Does anyone know anything about this saw? I was looking around on Stihl USA's website and noticed it listed. Same specs and price as the 193T.

I believe it's an updated model with larger piston and more HP giving it a tad bit more power.

It`s an updated version to meet the new EU Stage 5 Emission levels as nohoff stated in the past.

No mtronic just a diagnostic port to check run hours ect, 6% more displacement and 9% power increase.
I’ll have one by the end of the week so I can start looking it over and see if the 193 mods work on it

Well with both saws modified the same exact way the 194 I’m pretty sure beats the 193 pretty badly. I’ll get good footage of both running same bar in the same wood and time them. Might sign up for YouTube so I can put the link on here after I’m done with the videos.

If it's a newer version of my 192T then it definitely needs a power upgrade but maybe this one isn't in the greatest condition, haven't had a 193 or 194 to try and compare.

I agree they are weak in stock form, but I don't expect much out of 30 CC either...

It’s similar but the 192 was non strato like a 193. If I remember right the 193 has a limited coil and so does the 194. I guess with the timing bumped and the exhaust opened up the 192 does well but I’ve never worked on one. The 194 does much better than a 193 that’s modded up stock.

Now the 194 almost splits the difference between the 193 and the 200/201. The 192/193 was 30cc, 194t is 32cc and the 200/201 is 35cc.

I have a 192t mastermind modded the exhaust and advanced the ignition timing. It made a noticeable difference vs stock and is now a great little saw light and fuel efficient with decent power after the modding. I thought the 193 was same cc and compression but went to strato and lower limited coil and power was the same as the 192. Id really like to see how a muffler modded and timing advanced 194 runs. I plan to get one when I can afford it. Looks like an excellent saw way to go stihl!

Mod the muffler and advance the ignition timing the 192 runs noticably better with those two mods

No experience with a 192 but the 193’s and 194’a both wake up a bunch. I’ll get a video of the 193 vs 194 hopefully this weekend

Hate to disappoint but the 194t is at the tree service so it can get run in, I will eventually have a video done to post somehow but snows over waist deep and no wood close to finish breaking it in. The tree service will put some hours on soon since they’re beginning to start tree work.

Larger displacement by a couple cc and the coil has a scan port on it, everything else looks pretty much the same. Also has a self return to on kill switch
