2. And you know which 2...
Send anything you want...I'm not a racer of my saws. I don't care if they are the fastest. I'm just a hack who runs them Kevin...
I just have fun...

I was only wondering, just curious. That’s why I asked. I can’t be there anyway. 1st grandson is due the day before.

65cc lets the 4 cube camels nose under the tent.
So then it all just distills down to which 365 is fastest...
Exactly what I’m thinking. That 365 is a 372 they made for special purpose (something to do with wood harvesting for paper mills im told?) so it’s the upper limit and there is no replacement for displacement.

If we do 70cc shootout, then an 046 will whoop ass over a well done 044. And that’s only 5cc different.

I agree with Jeff. 7cc is the difference between an 046 and an 064. Apples to Oranges.

It’s more the intangible to me. What feels the best for its physical size and weight, it’s hard to quantify that.

Put all the saws in a pit, cut with them all, then think about which you would pick up first if you needed to cut wood.

Not to derail the thread but I have a ms361, ms361, & a 262xp Of the 3 of them which would be the most fun to run after porting?
Depends on what you like and your cutting style. There will be many saws there, good examples of all 3 of yours all done differently.

The older dual port saws always seem to have more low end. They seem to always feel faster than the newer quad ports in part because of the AV. Generally they only feel faster and the newer/better AV saws will get through the wood faster.

I personally like a good 034S/036. The 262 is also a great saw, it’s a bit fatter than the 036. The 361 done right is a true one saw plan. Mason was mailed an 046 pump for the one coming to the GTG. That saw can run a 16-28” bar no questions asked.

Here’s the 361 in oak, and only with the 361 oiler (really not enough).

Wow! Thank you sir. That 361 is really singing! Made short work of that ugly old oak. Thank you again! Forgive my ignorance but I’m not sure what you mean by the 262 being fatter. Are you talking about physical size or perhaps it’s tuned richer? Thanks again. Is that your 361? Very nice cutting saw! Must have a sharp chain as well.:)

The 361 is smooooth like butter and physically I remember being surprised how small it was when I first saw it in person. Not much bigger than a 261, a newer 50cc saw. I think it’s a perfect 20” bar saw with the stock AV and oiler. If you remember that it is 59cc, not get too hungry with the chain and don’t pry on it... it’ll pull a 24 or 28 surprisingly well ported. The 460 pump should be a nice upgrade from Doc, it is rather stingy stock.

Personally my favorite 60cc saw to use all day is a GOOD 562xp. Of course, one with all the late model upgrades such as 6 screw cases and the better carb. I regret selling mine.

I really like the 562 as well but I probably don’t need another saw. At least according to my wife & daughter.o_O;):)

That 365 is a 372 they made for special purpose (something to do with wood harvesting for paper mills im told?) ...

That was actually the 362, a dual port 60cc (<edit> 62.4cc) variant, built with fuel efficiency in mind, that we still may have to worry about if David were to bring a modded one, lol.
The 365 was the downsized pricepoint/farmsaw whatever version, in cants it's the 346 of the 4 cube class...
