@Sawrain and @00wyk you guys get it. The injection on the ms500 appears to be more like a glorified mtronic than a real injection system. This thing is like lincoln logs compared to automotive injection. Let’s also consider what @00wyk said. His bike is reliable. Well if we think about cars from the 80’s the were trash compared to cars from the 90’s as far as reliably. Remember the 20k tuneups in the 80’s? Those were partly due to copper plugs but still the plugs would foul also. This injection thing could be really cool. You gotta dig the proformance and efficiency gains from direct injection especially with forced induction. Someone’s going to make that dirty.

Randy,

May have missed it, but when do you anticipate running some fuel through these saws? Vid would be great to watch if possible.

Not sure how i feel about fuel injected saws and such, much prefer being able to tune a carb with a screwdriver, or change a coil if needed without hooking up to a computer to scan/re-calibrate. Just my .02

Hey Randy,

Make sure the latest updates are installed.

On second screen that pops up, top right hand corner, there is a "world" sign that needs to be selected to download latest updates.

Take care, Larry. HOS

Im interested to see how the 500 ported compares to a ported 7910
I'm going to say that the 7910 is going to have a smidge more low rpm torque. But that is just my guess.

Makes sense, it has a longer stroke and a larger flywheel. The 500i I ran I thought had pretty nice torque though for a stock saw.
