Me: Just cerious. Are you a Husqvarna dealer? Also. Can you tell me more about what was done for porting?

Him: I’m not a dealer and you open up the transfer ports and do some work on the muffler to make it cut faster

Me: I'm familiar enough with the concepts, was wondering specifics like if you machine the base or combustion chamber any or change intake/exhaust timing at all...

Him: No I don’t do timing or machine the cylinder All I do with the intake/exhaust is take the burrs off

Me: So no adjustments to the intake or exhaust, just transfers and remove flashing, open muffler?

Him: Yeah

Me: Would that void the warranty? I guess it wouldn't matter because it's a used saw. The warranty only applies to the original purchaser...

Him: Not at my dealer and I figured I would sell it locally and my dealer would honor it

So ported = MM, lower transfer hogging and casting flash clean up. Dang, I have been doing it wrong.

Wish you would've asked him about the bent outer dog. Curious what the story is....
