Not a bomb.

After a chainsaw model go out of production Husqvarna reorder necesarly parts inside the first 7 years, after those 7 years they dont guarantie they'll reorder another batch.

It used to be 10 years before but Husqvarna has changed their policy. Two norwegians dealers told me this for 1-2 year ago.

The only thing a 372 fan can do is to write to Husky and raise your issue about it, but most of the times they don't lissen on their customers who run old saws. I've never heard Husqvarna has changed their decission before.

So if the 51.4mm jug is going away, what’s the story with the piston for it?

OEM or Wiseco is the only options, the OEM piston was almost as much as a kit, the Wiseco is more then a kit.

They DO NOT want to sell parts. They want to sell new saws. The solution is to overprice parts.

I often think about that, reading threads posted by guys who spend a large part of their lives getting a 1980's Stihl they found in a dumpster to run. Or rebuilding one for the 40th time. Stihl be like "Ok, you refuse to buy a new saw from us? Hope you enjoy tracking down top secret-eyes only IPL's and paying sky high parts prices once you do!"
