That was quick!
Are we expecting more?
I’d love to own one for my current build.
Would partner up with my giant carb quite well me thinks.View attachment 208824
should be ordering another batch within a couple weeks, I need to know how they work in a 2100 first so I know better how many to order and if we are doing a separate 2100 model

Well for sure it’s not a drop in replacement on the 2100. The cylinder will have to be lowered. But it should work out to be a better option than the 395 piston in the end.

Just to clarify, this pistons is not aimed at a direct OEM replacement, it's a builders piston. We designed it to fit multiple platforms with a little customization by the builder. I wanted to cover all the 56mm Husky lineup with one piston to reduce the money Dave has sitting on the shelf and sunk into development.

Yes, you'll have to machine the jug to drop it for the difference in compression height. But the skirt on this piston was purposely made 0.050" longer (1.940") than a stock 395 piston to make it work better in a 2100. It's 0.010" longer than a 394 piston but still 0.085" shorter than a 2100 piston.

Since the 2100 has very little intake timing stock this piston will allow you to take 0.040" out of the squish band and still be below 155 intake duration (77.5 opening). So you have a little room to massage the intake port before you get wild with intake duration.

To run this piston in a 394/5 you may want to chuck it in the lathe and skim a little off the skirts, but it will swing as is out of the box.

This piston is light! Considering the skinniest I can comfortably make a stock 395 piston is 105g, Meteors can get down to 106g. This piston is 96g with no grinding on it and it's 0.050" longer on the skirt. So with a little work, this piston and single ring setup can be a feather.

Thanks for the low down Shawn.

we will do the 1mm ring with the big bore 58mm version, some of the models this standard bore will fit do not have Nikasil so we needed to use the Caber 1.2mm ring
Is the 1.2mm Caber an iron ring or something else? I surmise its not chrome based on our discussion about running a chrome ring in a chrome bore is a no-go.

I just don't get why they didn't make a 3100 to go between the 3120 and 3(88)
