I am over hauling a home log splitter. Its being repowered with a honda gx270 I plan on adding a 16gpm pump. I acquired a 20 reservoir tank will that be to big? Thanks

Commercial grade splitters use 20-25 gallon tanks. County line 25-ton splitter at TSC uses 5 gallons. No reason you can't use a 20 gallon reservoir; like beaglebriar said, you don't have to fill it completely.

Mine is around six gallons. I have split all day in warm weather an it has never been even close to getting hot, running a four way splitter and 18 hp twin929869BB-7752-45D2-BB4F-B40FD713C4C1.jpeg

My thoughts are that you would not want a big tank that would sweat in cold and hot weather changes. Only problem I see with large tank half full.
