3120 vs 1260

This is one for the guys that mess around with the cut off saws as well as chainsaws.


I recently picked up a 3120xp chainsaw with a dead piston and cylinder.


My question is are there any differences between or is there one that is better than the other out of a 3120xp, 3120k or 1260k piston and cylinder? All are 118cc, I also plan on keeping this saw so would like it to be the best I can make it with oem parts.

There is no difference and can be interchanged.
But they have 2 different type of muffler bolts, the muffler itself is interchangeble too.
