The Cross Performance 066 Top End

If the goal is performance and they have the ability to create a whole new casting, wouldn’t it be better to create something completely new thats not possible with a stock cylinder? Like quad port cylinders where a stock is two port?
I would like to see a quad port 044 or 066 cylinder.

Quad ports, double the possible issues with their QC.
They have to do a better job with the simple jugs first.

If you compare a ported 461 (quad port) to a ported 460 (2 port) I don't think you will see any big difference.

They have a funny design though, if a 461 was quad ported like dolmar or husky then it might be a different story.

I'd like to see one with 395xp transfer ports.

But then the ring ends would be in the transfer ports....and then people would be using the newly designed piston in a standard 660.....and rings would be hanging in the intake.....and then....

I guess the husky is just a superior design, if you Stihl guys want your own version just get a 361, more husky design in that saw then Stihl.

Not so. Mostly Stihl parts with a cylinder all it's own. Mine has some different Stihl parts on it now

Are the Cross Performance MMWS cylinders for the 660 still being produced? Or were there too many QC issues with them? I see them on HLS but have shown out of stock since the first time I looked.........about 6 months ago. Been wanting to get my hands on one.

I thought I read something about a MMWS 661 version, but never saw it. It would suck if the 660 is discontinued. Maybe next time have hyway make a pop up for it too.

This one is holding up well. Went back in to swap out wrist pin bearing for oem. I also wanted to try timing a saw. Everything looks pretty good inside I have at least 20 to 30 tanks on this
