Kinda weird looking cylinder. Would it be better to cut out the cylinder where those lower transfer ports are? I've never seen the crank case, so I don't know.
I looked into that but you would expose the strato cutout in piston, not sure if that would negatively affect things. The cylinder is basically a quad port version of a 372 xtorq cylinder.

I'm surprised your test log was still there after 40 cuts with all the other chainsaws wandering around.

160 cuts. (40 cuts per chain) It was at the end of day two and I think most were tired of cutting. Pretty sure there were some annoyed people trying to relax/sitting around the fire wondering what in the heck I was doing. :D

I am just surprised I didn't hit one of the many nails in those logs. Yes they were marked but I was sweating it cuz there was no back up plan. Those 4 chains were it!

SO...
I guess if using Stihl chain, keep the 30* angles? Chains didn't seem to like the 25* angle...
I am surprised to see box round cut faster than box square.
BUT long term, square seems to stay more consistent. And we're talking only a second or so per cut... Still...1 second is 1 second...[emoji16]

This is the 630 I put up with an AM 272 cylinder, was not happy with it. I put a mildly ported 268 cylinder on it and now I think it's where it should be. No problem pulling a 24" bar.
