Good point a .325kn would be pretty sweet.

While these are snotty little bastards when ported, I don’t think they have enough ass to run larger chain. After running one with 1/4” i think they should have come stock with 1/4. Remember; they are only 25 cc and are rpm limited. I think if they were unlimited they might get the chain speed up more, but don’t think they make enough torque to keep it going.

For anyone who ran the 2511T I did at the CT GTG, it was able to keep the chain going while the bar was buried in a log. The entire bar, including the nose. But that was asking a-lot from the little ported saw. And that was a chain that had been sharpened with much less hook than stock so it wasn’t grabbing as much as oem.

Have you seen that one @Nutball did pulling 20" 3/8s?

In all reality by the time I get one the internet will have figured out the perfect b/c combo for me.

Picco?

I wanna run full 3/8s on a ported on of these! I want to avoid another chain flavor in the mix.
Yep, run it on a good number of saws as well as my pole saw so it wouldn't be adding anything, but that's why I don't want to do the 1/4", lot's of files and guides already .

Ran a buddies ported 200 rear handle with a 20x3/8, it had no problem with it o_O. I'm sure you could do it with a 355, but the 2511 would be asking a lot for day to day work.
I have a 2511t, now I need the rear handle version :b1:.

Oh I'd never ask it to pull it at all but since its been done, it just tells me that it could pull some lowly. 325nk easily.

What bar mount does the 2511 use?

Problem running 3/8LP like VXL on the 2511 is the tiny saw feels very jittery unless you grind off the heels of the top plate. But it works fine with Stihl picco. Also the kick back can be more sudden.

huh. I’m gonna have to try that
Geico might have to sponsor my video of MORE! you know those "more" commercials
and the other so you can watch both at the same time

BTW they'll crank up a good 4 stroking 14,500-16000rpm if done right, no limiter I know of.

I dunno, either. But I do know that 325 is a bit tight on my quarter tip.

What chain do you run on that bar?

I'm running 325. It's much shorter links than 3/8LP/Picco, and less kickey backey when carving with it. I'll get a pic when I get back home. I have another one with fresh chain on it so it's easy to see.

Could, but why, I like picco chain a lot on the little saws and if the 2511 doesn't have a problem with running it and smoothly, then I'll be running it.

That's funny, I see what you did there, kickback:risas3:.
I can do heals with this, or another grinder manually.
