Someone send this man some test saws!!! Lol 50cc shootout for the win!
The place where the strato divider meets the carb needed some blending
Have you had the opportunity to port many yet Randy?
Using some things we discussed down there?
Randy, are you seeing any of the assembly concerns you saw with the OE?
I hope Husqvarna figured it out.
Chainsaws gives you the bronchitis? Wtf!
It does. But it's also close to the lense.Wow, the new 50cc saw looks bigger than the older 60cc saw! ::EEK::
Took .030" outta the squish.
Ex: 100

Stratos: 72

Advanced the timing about 5°
Muffler mods like the 572XP.
Long stroke, dual port with stuffers seems to be husqvarnas new recipe.
Nope I was referring to docs comment. New recipe as in different than what they used to do with the 346; which was quads with no stuffers and a big bore/short stroke. So it has a different bore and stroke vs the mk1?
Thank you sir...Nice 262!
Did you try to match the strato and intake timing?
Wonder if that would make a difference in fuel mileage and power
It's definitely a bit fatter than the 550OE, but very similar to the 261NE. I don't own the 550MKII, just a 550OE and 261NE. I did line up and compare the 550MKII with a 261NE and 562 at the dealership yesterday while waiting, and they're all nice; 261 is lighter but balance with a Stihl laminated 18 is nose-heavy. 550MKII balances great with an 18 but is heavier. 562 with 20 balanced great but is heaviest of course. 462 vs 572 and 562 was interesting, again Stihl was nose-heavy with 20" solid bar, 562 and 572 with solid 20" bars balanced much nicer, but the 462 with light 20 is close to balanced for me and is definitely light and nimble that way. Now I'm rambling.Wow, the new 50cc saw looks bigger than the older 60cc saw! ::EEK::
