Been busy sorry I've been away. Bunch of jobs. Sunday am super early, received some real hard news. My friend and old climber and tree job and hunting partner, of near 30 years. Died around 12am night before, in a hunting camp. Accidental discharge of his own rifle. He was found by fellow friends and hunters before day break. Been a teary emotional couple days, and lots of prayer for me. He would not have had many equals for climbing, tree work, or shooting abilities. I lost track of the amount of jobs we did, and big boars we caught. Goodbye Amigo. John Parmeter. Cazaderoto CA. Red sweatshirt.
Hate to hear this my friend...condolences. Toast with a cold beer, and roast his ass...bring up the good times you had with him, drink another round. My take on death is probably different being a f’d up Jarhead...seen too many go.

Talk about him with others, whether good or busting his nut sack...as long as you keep the memory of him alive...he lives.

I’m sure he was a fine man.

You know damn well, he wouldn’t have it no other way...when it comes down to it.

Again, condolences to you, your friend, and his family.

Norm, are you having weather like down in Santa Cruz? They are shutting power off down there to help prevent fires!

We had one near here this year … closed some of the State hiking trails … and it is rare around here - we have mostly hardwoods. But after tons of rain, Sept was a very dry month - and stuff happens!

The helicopters were pulling large buckets of water out of the Hudson, a rare site.

Its been very dry here also, lake levels are very low for this time of year, been many years since we had a big fire though.

Good afternoon Amigos. PG&E shutting off power 3pm today. To help avoid fires, man wind kicking up and it's 87 degrees. Morning been like winter in Cazadero, 30's afternoons like a hot spring Day.

Shutting off power to help avoid fires?
Yes, they have been doing this each time there is high winds forecasted, my daughter lives in California and sends me texts and Marco Polo shots.
