There definitely have been some good looking saws showing up on the market.

That is a good looking saw. I don't drive far unless it's a bigger cc saw, at least 60cc or its on my wish list. I drove just over an hour when a bought my 290 but i felt like it was worth it for $250 and just had all the rubber replaced.

The farthest I've driven was near Greenville Ohio which is around 80 miles .A guy got ahold of Kevin ( Cut for fun ) with a bunch of freebies .I brought home about a truck load .Couple of Remingtons that resembled a Homelite xl-12 ,a few Homelite C4 or something, a few more .I haven't done anything with them .The guy was a dumpster diver and had them piled up like cord wood .
Those Homelite C 4's evidently were about the same vintage and size as a Mac 250,early 60's .I remember seeing them as a kid but I never operated one .I kept one and gave the other to my neighbor .

Got a question for y'all. What clutch covers interchange with a Super Pro 60? What models that are more common could I use for a replacement?

Any left hand start 10 series cover will fit. If you are not worried about a brake, I like the brakeless ones as they only weigh a few ounces instead of a few pounds.

Thank you Steve! It doesn't have the brake on it now, and I don't need it on there. The cover is broke off where the bottom dawg bolt goes and I like to have dawgs on my saws, so I want to get a different one.

I appreciate your help Sir!

Doubt it looks as nice as yours Mark. Did those run 3/8"/.050 chain?
Not sure how much he put in bar and chain, but he was asking $60 for the saw. I'm really more partial to the 10 series magnesium saws. Not sure if I want a McCinderblock.

Yes - all of the 600 Series saws I have encountered used 3/8 x 0.050 chain but there were other gauge bars out there that fit the 10 and 600 Series so someone could have made a change.

For that matter, there were some .354 and .404 sprocket nose bars for the 10 Series that also fit the 600 Series saws so stranger things could have happened.

For the 600 haters...

I have not - I have only seen it described in an IPL so far. I don't have a Pro Mac Super 610 either, but as far as I know I have examples of all the other models.

20190916_151017.jpg had this one come in at work yesterday. Guy wanted to see if we could get it running for him. Unfortunately, my boss said we wouldn't. I do understand though. At 65 an hour shop rate, it would cost a fortune to have us do it. I did let him know I'd be interested in buying it if he decides to let go of it.
