Sizes 362 v2 - 361 - 462

Picked up a 362v2 reg carb last night and did some cutting today. It is bone stock 2018 build. I also cut with the 361 which is a low hour, muffler modded saw. I had my doubts and wasn’t looking for one...it just sort of found me.

People might be interested in the physical size differences between these saws. From the left 361, 362, 462 in the first picsecond pic 462 on the left then 362
It is similar to the 462 in the muffler cover and top cover fasteners.

Powerwise, they are pretty similar. The 362 is smoother than the 361 and feels about the same as the mm 361. However, it is deceiving because of how smooth is runs and it’s quiet compared to the mm 361. I don’t think the 361 is fully broken it yet. I’m not sure how many hours are on the 362.

The Oiler on the 362 is nothing special and I was running both saws with a sugi bar. The 361 has been modified with the HO Oiler so I bet it would oil a 28” fine if needed.

Both felt pretty strong until you compare them to the 462. That saw is in another league, but that is to be expected given the added ccs. I’d have to say that the 462 is the most impressive stock saw I’ve ever run.

Now for everyone’s favorite and to stir the pot of “which is lighter”. **I did drain all saws because I store them indoors.

I was pleasantly surprised by the 362 v2. I had heard how big they were and overweight. They are actually nice saws.

I’m not sure if I will be keeping it though having these other two.

The 362 v1 is the one that *s-word the 362's name. The v2 is quite a good saw, before 462 come out.
