Where's the 12 volt power supply gonna come from?

I wonder if the current oil pump could move enough oil to suffice the turbo then have it recirculate back to the bar to lube the bar?
He has a separate tank that's what is in front of the saw.

I can't see it working worth a damn. Just sayin.
It would but not for long and you have to spool it up pretty good to that's why he used the 084 anything smaller wouldn't run very well at all .

But what about a power source for the pump?

Wouldn’t those thin batteries to jump a car work? I even jumped my super duty with those tiny things.

It would only need to run for 30seconds max?....before the saw blows up. lol

Even then you can get braided silicon tubing. My truck would do about 55psi on stock couplers. It woudnt be that hard either to cover where the boot is into a flang and make it solid.

I envision that intake boot swelling up like a balloon.

You'd probably have to put a band around the main bellows part but it would be fine.

I hope they realize they need to boost reference the carb for the blow through setup like that or they'll just blow the diaphragm out of the carb. You should also have a rising rate fuel pressure regulator but for something that always runs WOT you can probably get away with boost referencing the carb and pressurizing the tank.

Turbo'd 2-strokes rock, I miss my turbo snowmobile. 800cc, 7psi making 200hp at 10k' on pump gas.

I really didn't think boost on a two stroke would work for *s-word. Color me surprised.
More air is alway better =D

Edit: one of my previous posts went though it. If the saw of similar build and they had the same compression they would be the same except for the top end. Just don't expect the same. Improvement that a 4 stroke will have.
There is some more wear on the turbo and. I bet the impeller and shaft for that snow mobile and jet skis are built rather strong. You see a lot more supercharged two strokes then you do turbocharged.

Completely stock motor with an Aerocharger 66 with an air to water intercooler. These are crankcase fed, reed valve motors so the pipe and back pressure from the turbo help keep from wasting too much out the exhaust. With piston porting you get to control the volume with the intake duration.

There is a lot more aftermarket turbo charged 2-stroke snowmobiles than super charged. Only one company makes a supercharger kit based on a vortec centrifugal.
