I just bought a new fs240 yesterday and used it til dark trimming the bank behind the house (reason I bought it). I'm happy with it, way more power than my old fs85. I wanted the bigger stihl brushcutter but they start at $1000 and are heavier....I felt like this is a good combo of power/weight/price. It used 2 tanks of fuel in 2 hrs. Throttle response is sluggish from idle...is a muffler mod in order? Dealer said I cant adjust the carb due to a tool I cant get and limiter caps....I'll bet I can lol.

:icon_popcorn: I could use some a bit stronger for our farm. I currently have an FS80 which is a great trimmer but struggles with the heavier stuff. I’ll be interested to hear how this unit works out for you.

Time ago I had one of this in version r (loop handle) and it was quite good already out of the box

now I use a fs460 with m-tronic (bike handle), very satisfied

Your on the right track with adjustments and opening up the muffler, unless Mtronic says otherwise.
