Clutches are totally overlooked. When people soup up cars... they upgrade the transmission/clutch to handle the power. If you have the option to upgrade the clutch on a saw when modding it... take advantage of that opportunity is what I say. It puts the power to the chain.I converted one this spring and in my opinion of the 3 changes listed in ordered of biggest power bump were muffler mod, clutch and lastly piston. With the 2 shoe clutch mine would bog pretty easy. Totally different saw with the 3 shoe.
There's always the 357/359 clutch as an alternative...
