They actually just planted soy beans in the field next to my house yesterday evening, been working the fields the last week. The other bean fields that are growing are getting close to 6" tall

It sure did. There is still quite a bit of acreage here untouched. Standing water in some.
And here, the soil is sand.
Thats why we have so many potatoes grown here in central Wi.

I will try to run down and take a pic of what we call the beach on my property. Just sand.

First pic if you look in the tree, you can see one of my favorite bow stands. Ive had some good luck there.

Not a fan of the gold myself, but my ‘02 was black with grey on the bottom and I didn’t mind that.

That's probably a head block used on the A-frames at the old-time mill ponds for dragging logs in and out of the water. That doesn't look heavy enough for logging in the woods.
