I fear I have 24 chainsaws now, but it may drop down to 23 next week. I rebuilt a Stihl MS290 using a 390 top end. My cost was parts only plus labor. A potential buyer appeared from out of nowhere.

About the only chainsaw that I don't want is one that cannot be fixed without parts that do not exist. But, now and then I can make some parts in the shop, assuming they are simple enough. My Poulan 4000 needed a new choke lever. I shop-made one that someone said works better than the original.
