Hi guys, lots of awesome guns in here! I am fairly new to concealed carry with only carrying regularly for the last couple years. I typically carry a 9mm Shield IWB @ 3:00. I have been looking for something with a little better capacity and decided on something a little out of the ordinary. I already owned a full size M&P9 but am not comfortable trying to conceal that so I bought a used full size M&P40 and cut the grip down to fit the compact magazines. I chose this so I can swap the slide/barrel back and forth to have either 9 or 40 on either full size or "compact" size frame. It actually turned out better than I expected. So far no issues with function and will soon start carrying it. Here are some pictures for you guys!

Concealed carry/EDC. Springfields
XDS 45 and XD 45. The wife and I both had Ruger LCPs we sold when we left Arizona. Since our move she's claimed the XDS as her own.
I run an aftermarket guide rod in the XD tactical, uses 1911 springs. Someday when I get the reloading station set up going to load some .45 Super for it. Similar to 10 mm auto performance wise.

Not so concealed carry, at least in the summer. Both RugerIMG_20190614_230429.jpg SBH .44 mag and a SRH 454. Handloaded 320 grain cast performance solids in the 44 and factory Hornady 300 xtp hollow point in the 454. Have some 350 grain Bear Tooth hard cast loads I need to work up.

Wow, that looks factory! Ive often thought about chopping the grip on my Glock 22 down to 23 length. I like the longer slide and barrel but the grip is just so frickin' long.

Thank you! I still have some smoothing to do but wanted to make sure it functions perfectly before doing any final touch up work. I also really like the longer slide/barrel for the slightly longer sight radius and I think the small bump in velocity will help with self defense hollow points.

I feed my Glock 22 a 175 grain lead truncated cone over 4.3 grains Bullseye for 920 fps. Accurate and easy to shoot, basically a 15 shot .44 Special.

Hopefully this fall things will settle down enough that i will have time to try some hand loading. I have a single stage press to start the learning process but havent made the time to try anything yet.

The .40 is a great cartridge for handloading. Remember, it is pretty high pressure from the factory so I would keep it on the mild side. A 180 grain slug really doesn't need that much velocity to be effective anyway. I gave my Glock 22 some exercise with the previously mentioned load today, good stuff!

Here's the smallest member of my battery. Kel-Tec P32 .32 Auto with my homebrew loads consisting of a 76 grain lead flat point over 1.9 grains Hodgdon Titewad (not Titegroup) at .945 OAL. Not a powerhouse by any means, but very accurate and easy to shoot with 7 rounds on board.

Just happened to think of this, depending on what generation your g22 is you could buy a polymer 80 grip and chop it up any way you want and not mess up your factory frame. I would have done this if polymer 80 had m&p.

Depends on what i am wearing. Either an LCP or a LC9 or a 357 snub SP101 or a Colt 1911. Road trip for the car weapon is a Baretta 92FS.

I remember some discussion about these, can’t remember if this thread or not. If I was allowed I’d be picking on if these up...

Yepper, that's what I've been looking at for the round count

The texture of the grip is great in hand but hard on that soft skin where a person would conceal. Just make sure your holster has full coverage between the grip and skin.

I had to wait for the version with a manual safety to comply with Massachusetts stupidity but they finally came in a month or so ago. I had a deposit down in case of limited supply, though it wouldn’t have mattered because Sig came thru with a ton of them. The shop where I got mine had 400 come in, about half were already spoken for.

The safety thing pissed some people off, likely mostly just on principle but I don’t mind it one way or the other.
Sig did a very clean implementation that doesn’t compromise the inner workings of the gun at all and if they went without the safety it would’ve ended up with a ten lb trigger to be compliant.

For me it has mostly lived up to the hype, comfortable, easy to shoot, accurate and so far reliable with various ammo.
My one complaint was the trigger, reviews were good but I found all the ones I tried notchy with a lot of sear creep.
On the up side it did break at around 5 1/2lbs and the reset was pretty good.

(As a disclaimer I’m a bit of a target snob when it comes to triggers, for handgun stuff I shoot mostly bullseye and that’s typically single action with very clean breaking 1 1/2lbs for rim fire and 3 1/2 for .45.
So my perspective there may be a little skewed...)

I didn’t even want to bother shooting it the way it came and had the entire gun apart twenty minutes after I got it home.
Wasn’t quite the easiest trigger I’ve done, not so much the sear but to get it smooth thru all the interlock type stuff was a chore.
I’m quite happy with it now.

Of course while I had the bug and was waiting for the 365, I ended up running into a few deals I couldn’t refuse, one of which was an m&p shield in .45.
Didn’t really like the trigger on that either but it was a cakewalk to get right.
Basically just cleaned up/shortened up the sear and added an adjustable trigger stop to improve the reset.

Fits my hand well, shoots well, for a sort of cheapy gun, I really like it.
