Stihl screwz don't need no loctite!
Jeefus, I’m sure that this isn’t going to be taken well, but a picture is worth 1000 words, right ?

Welp, here’s three A5E766AE-7FC0-44D0-9FB1-1E309E816E77.jpeg3DB861C1-D536-44B1-8EE2-0848938B0DF9.jpeg57A79EAA-212B-48C2-8310-D3B5E31ADD98.jpeg

Is that a 3003 mount bar and you change the tip?
Or a 3002 bar?
3003 mount 404, factory tip, nothing changed

Gotta thin out those legs if you wanna compete with the big boy porters here Kev.
I’m definitely not looking to compete, I don’t even have time to enjoy the smell of my own farts these days, add to that the quality of work that you & good ole emu leggs are mailing out, I’m not even a fly on the wall !

Why change the tip you can get .404 ES bars from 20" right up to 36" in a 3003 mount that I know of .
The roller tip ....... it seems to be something of a special tip, although I must admit, I just ordered it through my dealer, like everything else, it arrived and I used it.

And drag racers got it from them.

Pfft! Drag racers stuff only has to hold 8 seconds.

You should see what loosens up during a 100 lap dirt race at a track like Knoxville, IA.

Well y'all should try it in a tin can in full clouds with no visibility at 12k feet at 200 mph with a controller who won't give you a different altitude for lite "icing" ...no matter what rattles loose....we can't just "pull over". ..

Jacks Small Engines on line bud !

High speed was out 2.25 with the lever above the housing and the 62 jet. She’s around 1.5 turns out now with the 68 jet, right where she belongs. Popoff was around 35 ........ down to 21 now.

I’m liking how she’s running.

Next up is a nib 661 ......... I’ll start a new thread. These two are going to be going head to head afterwards. I’m looking forward to seeing that !!

I’ll have to check my carbs to see what jets they have in them.

Do you have the kill switch ground wire on order too?
I hate waiting on a few smalls to finish a saw.

That black wire with the two ring connectors sits atop my eyeglasses case ...........
I usually cant stand waiting, however, I should have ordered the switch a while back, I thought I had at least one, CRS hits hard in the wonder years.

Little Joe is staying nestled in my barn for a little while anyway, she's waiting to sail home untill after this 661 is finished, they need to have a day together, gettin to know each other, and stuff.

Loctite on everything

I think it depends on where the saw was assembled. I've noticed the technicians in Germany seem to be a lot more liberal with Loctite
than the folks in Virginia Beach.

Nice build Kevin! I'm jealous.

WHAT? No 60" trees in RI Ken?
Boy, you get around.
When is the last time you cut one down?

How much of a gain do you notice from a indexed plug? I did it to 2 or 3 saws, never timed cuts. Couldn’t notice anything different though by feel but that’s not the most accurate thing to go by.
Like the man said....
I believe they stay clean longer, possibly, meh....

Gotta thin out those legs if you wanna compete with the big boy porters here Kev.
He jealous :D

ES WN 3003 is the rare one. I got two in 3/8 new ones from a member posting in this thread. Thank You

Still hunting the ES WN 404 but gave up mostly. Brought a GB 40 roller instead.
