Indexing spark plugs can be time consuming 2C595F3E-9056-408E-A490-F0DC7A6FAF0F.jpeg

She runs !!

Having some carb & recoil issues, ordered a new starter spring and am going to have to Kevorize the carb ....... she needs more fuel, who’d have thought that ??

How much of a gain do you notice from a indexed plug? I did it to 2 or 3 saws, never timed cuts. Couldn’t notice anything different though by feel but that’s not the most accurate thing to go by.

Old habits die hard, probably no difference at all,

I don’t know if the muff mod is wide enough I can’t even see the piston lol
Great thing about this style of muffler mod, is that it’s tune-able, just need a regular screwdriver

I like subtle.
Adjust it as you see fit bud !

Has anyone seen the little washers between the fly wheel and the pawls wear out and cause it to slip. I robbed some off a 288 I haven’t put back together but I need to find some.
I ordered 4, put two on this saw, two on mine, never seen them wear out

The sound won’t be very subtle. They have a mean sound.
They do have a unique sound, even if they’re not too loud

Few Stihl fasteners in there Kevvy. Must be for more power huh?
And so Jeff won’t keep asking Joe if he’s lost any muffler bolts

Just raise the metering lever a bit. I’ve never not had one of these carbs supply enough fuel.

The 62 is what came in the OEM nib carb, there’s a genuine Walbro 68 in there now, as well as a few other tweaks6F93F6FA-CCCB-4CF4-B82E-B2ACECB1CE90.jpeg
One thing that I can say about Shawn Carr, he doesn’t just post useless words. OEM impulse installed !D2B8359E-504F-4ACB-89E3-6377FD07B5F5.jpeg F9CCF415-3105-4B22-A7E9-CA7CC301E216.jpeg E092EF5C-47CF-463E-BEEB-826316B4C6B6.jpeg 817E911C-18EE-438E-B03A-787C54D18919.jpeg

She’s at 13,000 in the video, turned her up a bit to 13,500 and she’s not lacking anything !!!

Jacks Small Engines on line bud !

High speed was out 2.25 with the lever above the housing and the 62 jet. She’s around 1.5 turns out now with the 68 jet, right where she belongs. Popoff was around 35 ........ down to 21 now.

I’m liking how she’s running.

Next up is a nib 661 ......... I’ll start a new thread. These two are going to be going head to head afterwards. I’m looking forward to seeing that !!
