The Strunk Speed Demon is the red one that is partially disassembled and I bought a polished Kart motor to go in it, I have an airbrush guy lined up to do the custom paint and Shaun said he could repair the buggered up handle but I got sidetracked when I couldn't figure out how to get the flywheels off the motors without damage. I have to swap crankshafts because the Kart motor has a different crank than a chainsaw.Cool stuff Dave, what a hoard of classic saws. I like the ones that came in as runners and wound up a box-o-parts. Do you still have that vintage 'Red Rocket' or 'Red Devil'?
crap this reminds me I have a runner 288 at another guys house LOLI've started a 2100 sanctuary and I am accepting owner surrenders. Also 288's, 394/5's will be housed.
Larry is a great guy, I met him at a GTG. I just don't have the kind of space the does LOL, so many saws so little time. You still appear way in control of yourself Dave.
You every been to Larry's place north of me? Just a few pics from 11-14 http://chainsawrepair.createaforum....on-pics/house-of-saws-ohio/msg41534/#msg41534

Hey I still have a box of NOS Poulan parts here for you buddy
a little of both, I would love to get rid of some of them, but would also love to find guys who would rebuild some of the oddball stuff I will never get to
How does one tell by looking at a contra of it’s and early one or not? Guy wants me to clean up and get his grandpas contra running so he can hang in his shop. Looks like the rewind is 2 pieces instead of one casting because it has bolts around the stihl emblem.View attachment 184955
Murder XP 346xp race saw and 365 Special race saw both runners

Woot woot!!I'll go through that Kenny Dunn 394. I got a KD Dolmar 166 to build up here soon.
Wow Dave, I thought you were better than this. Man you really fell off the wagon.
On the stihl 090 group on facebook they told me it was early because it has no tank vent and the rear of the tank is a little different. Lot of 1106/1109 experts on thereHow does one tell by looking at a contra of it’s and early one or not? Guy wants me to clean up and get his grandpas contra running so he can hang in his shop. This is on eBay right now and since I have no way to afford at the moment maybe you’d want to add it to the collection of more rare saws. Can’t prove for sure but I’m guessing its a 075 prototype with the removable head. Has a decomp and the one I saw before had the same super stickers on it looks nice shape and says runs well.
