I wonder if Mr. Stump can delete all the clutter in this thread? Another place has a 500i conversation going on with hardly an off topic post let alone PAGES of it.

It gets much easier to ban once you've done it before

Now back on topic. I'm still waiting to hear, if any measurable remains of the test log are left, what the diameter of the log @blsnelling cut. I have a time for my 2188 on an 18" Ash log I want to compare to get an idea of what the 500 can do.

The skip chain is a given ........ but an 880i they would limit to 8000 or 9000 rpm .

my 084 holds 9500 to 10000 rpm in the cut with 36" fully buried. mind you someone has done some grinding on it.

You can’t accurately compare two saws without using the same log and the same b/c unfortunately. Even then there can be variables.

I don’t know of any saw limited that low. Maybe 12500
