Just as a rough idea will a ported 390xp cut aswell as a standard or ported 462 if so what about a standard or ported 660 or 661

I feel like a properly ported 661 will walk away from a ported 390 to be honest. Mr Kunz does a tremendous 661.

The advantage the 462 has is weight, the 390 has way, way, more power, holds more fuel, will pull AND OIL a 36" bar much better.

I believe it was StephK87 that did a comparison between a ported 390XP, a ported 661-CM, and a ported 395XPG. The 390 and 661 were neck and neck and then the 395
came in and ate everyone's lunch.

What you meant to say is that a 394-395 beat the others up AND STOLE their lunch money...

Don't see too many 395's taking a TM 661's lunch money. They might sneak up from behind and draft for awhile though.

We'll get you some glasses so you can see it clearly, especially with a 50" bar buried. I really can't see the Stihl oiling that much bar, but who knows.

Don - they're comparing a stock saw to a ported saw...er..for some reason. I missed it my first read, too.

I feel like with real long bars the 395 takes a 661, especially with its oiling ability. 395 pisses oil.
