I knew they made a non easy start option but it wasn't a model that was available when I bought mine, at least not at the price I got mine for....and mine is a 5105H(heated grips). I do like the thinner overall profile of the CX.

There is a kit to convert to the non easy start. New flywheel dogs and the old style recoil. Part # 181-160-170

Converted this saw just to see how it felt.

This saw came from a package of stuff purchased from another dealer last December. Sold it to a local farm just across the road.

I'm thinking it's time for a base gasket delete on the 5105. Anyone done this and is there typically enough room?

Still wondering about clearance on the 5105 if I remove the base gasket? I'm sure someone has done this.....
